Michael Stadtlander to speak at GABP AGM

World renowned chef and restaurateur, Michael Stadtlander, will be the guest speaker at GABP's upcoming Annual General Meeting on April 21.
Michael who runs the famed Grey Highlands Eigensinn Farm fine dining experience and the Haisai Restaurant and Bakery in Singhampton, has recently been on a crusade to encourage local land owners to work with young farmers to raise livestock and other food products to help build a local "farm-to-table" organic, seasonal food service industry.

Michael was also a driving force behind the highly successful "Foodstock" event last fall that attracted more than 28,000 people to area farms to sample local foods and give their support to the protection of prime farmland from destruction by the proposed "mega-quarry" near Shelburne.

Michael will talk about his recent initiatives to encourage young farmers as well as his "Foodstock" experiences.

All GABP members are invited to attend so mark your calendars. Michael's talk at 10:00 am will be followed by the AGM and election of the new Board and a light lunch of local specialties. A $10 per person charge will cover the cost of the lunch. If you are not a member, you are still welcome. Better yet, why not join the Grey Association for Better Planning.
